Dr. Suberri is a licensed psychologist who is board certified in Family Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) . She founded Hopeful Futures Consultations in 2006. She has over 30 years of experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, adolescents and their families.
Her experience includes an eight year affiliation with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and provision of counseling, consultation and training in school settings, child development clinics, infant-toddler early intervention programs, preschool special needs classes, community counseling centers and residential treatment centers.
Dr. Suberri has conducted numerous workshops in the US and internationally.
She is the proud parent of a son and a daughter and has three grandchildren. She has been married for 36 years.
Dr. Suberri specializes in:
• Neuro-developmental and developmental disabilities – Tourette’s syndrome, genetic disorders, cerebral palsy, autism, Asperger’s syndrome, and cognitive disabilities
• Developmental and behavioral concerns – toileting, feeding and sleeping difficulties, tantrums, impulsivity, oppositional behavior, selective mutism, and social problems
• Chronic health concerns –treatment adherence, medication compliance, disease education, coping with an illness, adjusting to a family member’s disability or illness
• Post-adoption concerns – adjustment and attachment issues, acculturation, special language needs, and developmental, behavioral, educational and emotional issues
• Collaboration with families, physicians, allied health therapists and schools to help integrate the systems of care for each youth.
