Who should have an IHP?

Individualized Health Plan
  • Every child who has special health care needs should have an IHP.

  • An IHP is a formal agreement developed by you, your school and your child’s healthcare team.

  • IHP’s are developed for your child’s safety and well-being while in school

  • Your child does not have to be classified as eligible for special education, in order to have an IHP.

  • The IHP establishes a basis for communication, collaboration and evaluation of your child’s health care needs.
