My husband/wife doesn’t think we need counseling and doesn’t want to be involved. Can I meet with you by myself?

I believe that each parent has a unique relationship with their son or daughter and a unique take on the issues at hand. This means that each parent is in a unique position to help their child and help the family overcome whatever obstacles are currently in the way to greater family harmony. I find that the path to a happier, healthier family life and to peace of mind for parents is paved more quickly and more efficiently when both parents participate in our meetings.
That being said, I am willing to meet with one parent for an initial consultation and discuss how best to go about eliciting the participation of the other parent, at least for one session
