My husband/wife doesn’t think we need counseling and doesn’t want to be involved. Can I meet with you by myself?

When the concern is a child-related one, I believe that each parent has a unique relationship with their son or daughter and a unique perspective on the issues at hand.
This means that each parent is in a unique position to help their child and help their family overcome whatever obstacles are currently in the way to greater family harmony and quality of life.
I find that the path to a happier, healthier family life and to peace of mind for parents is paved more quickly and more efficiently when all parents/caregivers participate in our meetings.
That being said, I am willing to meet with one parent for an initial consultation and discuss possible options for eliciting the participation of the other parent(s) or caregivers
