Especially For Parents

Board Certified Couple and Family Psychologist

If you are a parent of a child with special healthcare needs, chronic illness, impairment or disability, then you know that the journey is not an easy one.

There are times when your life is fraught with worry, disappointment, sadness, frustration, and even loneliness.

Like any parent, you want your child to be happy, to feel good about herself and have meaningful, satisfying friendships. You want your child to sleep well through the night and go off cheerfully to school in the morning. You want your family life to run smoothly and your home to be a loving, happy place, a safe haven for your entire family.

You want the world to see your child as the whole person he is and not as the medical diagnosis or educational label he has been given.

I am convinced that whatever roadblocks you and your family are experiencing right now- whatever obstacles you are encountering in your lives’ journey- your lives can improve. Things can be better.

My name is Dr. Keren Chansky Suberri. For over 30 years, I have helped hundreds of children and their families grappling with an illness or disability. I would look forward to the opportunity to hear your story and the privilege of sharing your journey.
